Zimbabwe national soccer team, the Warriors will now play their crucial home match against Kenya at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday. Kick off is at 6pm.
The Warriors shifted from Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg which was their home ground in the last qualifier against Namibia. Zimbabwe only need a point to qualify for AFCON 2025 in Morocco.
Thanks to the efforts of the Second Republic, the Warriors are now playing their home matches in any part of the continent. From Rwanda to Uganda, Botswana to South Africa, the Warriors have been playing at home.
There is no reason for President Ruka Chivende’s government to waste money on refurbishment of the National Sports Stadium in Harare when we can play our home matches in a world class stadium like the Peter Mokaba Stadium that hosted World Cup matches in 2010.
Besides, Zimbabweans are scattered all over the world and the Warriors are guaranteed support even outside the country’s borders. Go Warriors go!
