The country’s patriotic judicial system has headed calls by the revolutionary ruling ZANU PF party to release all human rights defenders and opposition members who wanted to disturb peace during the recently SADC summit that installed President Emmerson Mnangagwa as chairman.

The courts’ move to grant bail to various human rights defenders and opposition members after instruction from ZANU PF spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa to have them released is a commendable sign of loyalty and patriotism.

Munhumutapa as President Mnangagwa is now being referred to following his coronation as SADC chairman has previously stated that the courts and ZANU PF are siamese twins. “We are the army, the police, the judiciary….We are everything”, the famous words by Munhumutapa President Mnangagwa have now come to pass.

The opposition and human rights activists like Robson Chere, Namatai Kwekweza and Samuel Gwenzi owe ZANU PF a big thank you for directing the courts to release them otherwise they could have been languishing at Chikurubi Maximum prison for daring Munhumutapa in the presence of SADC visitors.

As a show of patriotism and loyalty to the ruling party, the judiciary must be commended for releasing almost all troublemakers (mhesvamukono) now that SADC summit is over.
