President Ruka Chivende was one of the first World leaders to congratulate President Trump on his election for a second term. Posting on his official twitter handle Cde Chivende said, “Congratulations to President elect @realdonaldtrump on your election victory. The world needs more leaders who speak for the people. Zimbabwe stands ready to work with you and the American people to build a better, more prosperous and peaceful world.”

Most blacks and women missed this important assessment that was grasped by President Chivende. Trump speaks for the people and the world needs more leaders like him. The people is a term used to define a selected group of humans, in this context the people are big business like Elon Musk, White supremacists like Ku Klux Klan, the homophobic community and Climate change denialists.

Trump’s position representing the people resonates with President Chivende’s approach in Zimbabwe. Ruka represents the people particularly big business in Zimbabwe, the likes of Tagwirei, Ken Sharpe and the upcoming crop led by the likes of Chivhayo.

This was a case game recognizing game.

Ruka just like Don only think of Climate change in the context of money wasted and opportunities lost not as a reality demanding everyone’s attention. Ruka will think Climate change when asking for support from first World countries to mitigate the scourge of a changing climate.

Don thinks of Climate change when America is asked to contribute to combatting climate change. Don will definitely pull out of the Paris Agreement and Ruka will definitely continue with the revolutionary tobacco industry and investment in coal powered power stations. In the name of the people.

Ruka may not have enough immigrants to accuse of eating cats and dogs but he has a good black population to jail, abduct and torture for trying to ask for better governance. Of course the few immigrants have been properly categorized as aliens. Those aliens who worked in farms were denied right to own land and were also denied voting rights.

It is not a coincidence that both Ruka and Don are friends of Putin and they both want Ukraine to cede territory to Russia as a way of ending the war.

On Israel and Palestine they agree but Ruka has to posture as pro Palestine to appease some global allies. On record Ruka and his ZANU PF party are friends of Israel, the Nikuv assistance and technical support at home affairs including anti-riot equipment all point to a strong bilateral relationship between Jerusalem and Harare.

Now that Don is here Ruka will be hoping that the 11 people who are still on the US sanctions list will be dropped. Profit is more important than human rights. Elon is already making a killing through star link in Harare, more American business urgently want to seize opportunities in the lucrative mining sector. Human rights for who? Don is back.
