Despite the Warriors putting in a vintage performance against Cameroon earlier this month at home in Uganda some Western sponsored puppets are still making noise concerning refurbishment of stadia in Zimbabwe.
With President Emmerson Mnangagwa now chairing the whole SADC countries it should sink into the minds of critics that we now own all beautiful stadiums in those countries as our home grounds. The government promised to make sure the National Sports Stadium is ready to host international matches by June this year but as you already know our Olympian Sports Minister, Cde Kirsty Coventry will be busy with other personal pressing commitments. She therefore gave another deadline which is January 2025 and if she fails to meet the target, Cde Coventry can always give another date as per our norm.
Zimbabwe chose a perfect home ground by playing our home match against Cameroon in Uganda since President Yoweri Museveni has everything in common with President Mnangagwa. Just like President Mnangagwa, President Museveni is also fighting Western sponsored puppets like Bobi Wine. Zimbabwe does not need to bother herself blowing billions of our strongest ZiG currency on stadia refurbishment. Why worry when other African countries have already built stadia for us?
Up next, the Warriors will play Namibia away before hosting the same nation on any African nation we settle for.
