Despite efforts to discredit our Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) currency by detractors and regime change agents, ZiG is holding fort against imperialistic currency, US dollar. Never mind about the recent blip against US dollar, ZiG is still the strongest currency in Africa. President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his cabinet ministers are all leading by example as they use local currency for trading.
We all saw that during President Mnangagwa’s birthday celebrations one of our loyal Ministers, Hon Tino Machakaire mistakenly donated US$70 000 as a birthday present to His Excellence after he could not find his ZiG notes in his pockets. Some time earlier this year, President Mnangagwa also mistakenly donated the useless US$ 800 to an old party dancer after he failed to locate his precious ZiG notes from his wallet.
The government has since declared a war against economic saboteurs seeking to devalue our powerful currency through illegal foreign currency trading. ZANU PF spokesperson, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa’s son, Neville was erroneously up in the crossfire hence he is not going to face further prosecution. After all his parents fought for the freedom we all enjoy.
The government is worried by some unpatriotic businesses that are pushing a regime change agenda by refusing to trade in ZiG currency opting for currency of our US detractors. Of course state enterprises like ZBC, ZINARA, ZESA and passport offices can charge services in US in order to help government to fight sanctions.
ZiG currency can only be used within the country’s borders as a way of protecting our currency from abuse by imperialists since it is back by our gold
