Forget Robert Mugabe’s land reform program for indigenous black empowerment. Mnangagwa’s “New Dispensation” brings a fresh agenda, a land reform reversal.

This new program ensures productive land goes to cartels running the Second Republic’s businesses.

While officials tout a new land tenure system allowing Mugabe-era beneficiaries to sell their land, the reality is actually simpler: if Mnangagwa’s friends want it, the government takes it.

Resettled farmers in Goromonzi’s Springs and Stuhm Farms now understand that land belongs to those with presidential connections, not ordinary citizens.

War veterans and even the reigning Young Farmer of the Year are being pushed off Springs Farm to accommodate Mnangagwa’s ally, Muller Conrad “Billy” Rautenbach.

A champion of land grabs and offshore accounts, Rautenbach will get 1,000 hectares as “compensation” for failing to evict ZANU PF supporters from Aspindale Park.

Of course, game knows game.

Would Mnangagwa who was named in the Gold Mafia scandal disappoint Rautenbach, a money-laundering expert?

After all, Cde Ruka Chivende’s war credentials are hazy, according to Cde Blessed Geza.

For Cde Ruka Chivende, the liberation agenda was about self-enrichment and multiple farm ownership by powerful individuals who support his continued stay in power.

Forget about the “One man one farm” liberation promise.

Under Cde Chivende, the likes of Rautenbach own vast tracts of land in Mwenezi, Chisumbanje, and most parts of Harare.
